  • 03/28/2004 Thank you to Karen for posting this information. - The PeeWee "A" team finished their season with a 1st place finish in the Skatezone's Supersite tournament. In the final game, they played 3 20 minute periods to a 4-4 tie. The game then went to a 10 minute sudden death overtime, which also ended 4-4. The Canes finally won in a shoot out! Congratulations to all the boys on a great season! Special thanks goes out to the coaches and manager for a job well done.

  • 03/22/2004 Thank you to Roger for posting this information. - Hollydell Hurricanes PeeWee B Team Went 3-1-0 and went to the Gold Medal round. We lost to a very good New York West Chester Viper team. But still Came home with the Silver Medal. Good job boys. A good way to end your season. Good luck at try out's - Coach Roger.

  • 03/22/2004 Thank you to Tony for posting this information. - The Hurricanes Midget Minor A Team traveled to Greater Hampton Roads, Virginia for a season ending tournament on March 19, 20 and 21. The Team went to the championship round with a 2-0-1 record and won the championship in overtime. Congradulations to Gary McAneny for the scoring the OT goal and winning Most Valuable Player.

  • 03/15/2004 Thank you to Tony for posting this information. - The Hurricanes Midget Minor A team traveled to Delaware on March 12-13-14 for the "Flight on Ice"Tournament. The Hurricanes swept all four games to take the championship. Congradulations to Tyler Hancock for being selected Tournament MVP. The team travels to Hampton Roads, Virginia for St. Patricts tournament on the 19-20-21 of March.

  • 03/10/2004 Thank you to Jeff for posting this information. - The Hurricanes Mite B team placed second in this past weekend's Pocono Spring Tournament losing in the finals to the hometown Pocono Pirates, 6-2. The Hurricanes went 3-1 overall for the tourney and outscored the competition 24-13 beating teams from Lincoln, RI and Hudson Valley, NY. Next up for the Mite B's is their last tournament of the season, the Hollydell Spring Classic. Good luck, Hurricanes!

  • 03/08/2004 Thank you to Karen or posting this information. - The PeeWee "A" team won the Delaware Ducks "Flight on Ice" Tournament the weekend of March 5th-7th. The team outscored their opponents 20-1 in four games. The team also won the skills competition in the speed scoring and penalty shot competition. They placed second in the baton relay race and stickhandling relay. Congratulations to the boys on a job well done!

  • 03/01/2004 Thank you to Mike for posting this information. - The Hurricane Bantam AA Team finished the regular season with a 6-4 win over the Quaker AA Team. This raised the overall regular season reccord to 31 wins, 13 loses, and 7 ties. The team had an NJYHL record of 9 wins, 6 loses, and 4 ties. The Bantam AA team will end the 2003-04 season at the Pond in Delaware playing in the Delaware Ducks Flight on Ice Tournament on March 12, 13, and 14. Go Canes!


  • 02/23/2004 Thank you to Jeff for posting this information. - Congratulations to the Hollydell Hurricanes Mite B Team - the Winners of the NJYHL Mite B Championships. After a tight 3-2 win over an improved Ramapo Saints team, the 'Canes went out and played a solid game versus their cross-state rivals, the Ice House Avalanche. The score of the final was Hurricanes 4, Avalanche 2.

    The Hurricanes ended their regular season 29-1-4, and 16-0-2 in the NJYHL.

    Next up for the Hurricanes is a non-league game versus the Princeton TIgers 02/28 and the Spring Tournament in the Poconos 03/05-03/07. Best of luck and go Hurricanes!

  • 02/16/2004 Thank you to Jeff for posting this information. - The Hurricane Mite B Squad placed second in this year's first Annual President's Weekend Tournament at the Warwick Ice Arena in Warwick Township, PA. After battling teams from Warwick, Long Island, and Red Bank to get to the finals, the Hurricanes lost 7-6 in the game finale to a solid Red Bank Generals, Mite A squad. Congratulations for an impressive showing in this year's tourney.

  • 02/18/2004 Thank you to Sandra for posting this information. - Congratulations to the Hurricanes Bantam B Team for winning and taking 1st place in the Bantam B division at the NJYHL playoffs this weekend at the Igloo in Mt. Laurel. The team was tied for first with the American Eagles in the south division, but was just squeezed out of the first place spot by the goals against tie breaker. On Saturday in first round play, the team beat the first place in north division Bridgewater Bears 5 to 2. This win advanced them to the championship game, where they played the American Eagles, and beat the Eagles 7 to 5. This win capped off a very successful season with a league record of 21-3-0. The team also won several tournaments including the regional Silver Sticks tournament in Aston, Pa. The team traveled to Ontario in January for the finals and advanced to the quarter finals where they were seeded 4th out of 12 teams. Thanks to the players, parents, and coaches--all of whom worked together to create a positive environment for this team to become successful. Good luck to all of our players at our final season tournament in March--Can/Am.

    New Secretary: Heidi Welsh

    Appointed positions will be posted as soon as selections are made. New board will take control as of May 1, 2004. However, they will be involved with our coaching selection procees and Hurricane try-out during the transition period.

The Mite B's closed the season at 29-1-4 overall and 16-0-2 in the NJYHL. Congratulations to the Hurricanes and thanks for an enjoyable season. Next up for the Hurricanes is the President's Weekend Tournament @ Warwick. Go Hurricanes!

  • 02/09/2004 Posted by Steve - The Midget Major A team closed out its NJYHL schedule this past Saturday with a 4-2 win against the Jr. Knights. This gave the team a winning 8-7-3 NJYHL record. The team had its ups and downs this season but held it together. They have a few more non-league games and post an overall record of 15-13-4. Thanks to coach Bob S and Chuck M for making it an enjoyable season for all the players.

  • 02/02/2004 Thank you to Jeff for posting this information. - The Hurricanes Mite B team closed out it's season with a 4-0 victory over the Mercer Chiefs and a thrilling 3-3 tie with NJ Colonials in NJYHL action to go undefeated with a record of 16-0-2. Next up for the Hurricanes is a non-league game versus the Powerplay Selects before preparing for the President's Day Tournament at the Warwick Ice Arena and the NJYHL Playoffs February 21-22. Congratulations on a solid season. Go Hurricanes!

After playing a much improved Lehigh Valley Comets team in a non-league contest to a 3-3 tie, the Hurricanes savored a hard-fought 4-1 victory over the Toms River Blackhawks in NJYHL action. The Mite B's are 15-0-1 in the NJYHL for the season and 27-1-3 overall. Next up for the Hurricanes are the final two league matches of the season against the Mercer Chiefs and the NJ Colonials. Go Hurricanes!

Next up for the Mite B's are contests this weekend versus the Lehigh Valley Comets and a challenging League contest versus the Toms River Blackhawks. The Mite B squad is 26-1-2 for the season. The Midget Minor A team will now move on to Districts in February. Good luck Hurricanes!

The Hurricanes league-leading record stands at 14-0-1 for the season and 25-1-2 overall. Next up are two non-league contests versus the Bethlehem Blast in Bethlehem and the Powerplay Selects at Hollydell this weekend. Go Hurricanes! Good luck Hurricanes!

The Hurricanes have two important League contests this coming weekend versus the Toms River Blackhawks and the Cranford Hockey Club. Good luck Hurricanes!


  • 12/29/2003 Thank you to Jeff for posting this information. - The Hollydell Hurricanes Mite B Team placed first in this year's Grundy Christmas Tournament in Bristol, PA in an event that ran from December 26 through December 28. The Hurricanes defeated the Bristol Blazers 5-1 and the Warminster Glaciers A-B Team 7-6 to enter into the finals, which the Hurricanes won over the Bristol Blazers by the score of 4-3. The finals went to Overtime and a shootout before the eventual outcome. Congratulations to the Hurricanes Mite B Squad!

  • 12/23/2003 Thank you to Jeff for posting this information. - The Hollydell Hurricanes Mite B team continued it's impressive season with 6-2 and 7-1 League victories over the Old Bridge Junior Knights and the Flyers Youth team in last weekend's hockey action. The two wins gives the Hurricanes a 11-0-1 record in the NJYHL and a 22-1-2 season record overall. Next up for the Mite B's is this weekend's Grundy Holiday Tournament in Bristol, PA. Go Hurricanes!

  • 12/19/2003 Thank you to Jeff for posting this information. - The Hollydell Hurricanes Mite B squad improved it's overall season recordto 20-1-2 with victories over the Bethlehem Blast and the Vineland Patriots in last weekend's action. The Hurricanes won 6-0 against the Blast in a DVHL contest and defeated the Patriots in NJYHL action by the score of 10-0. The Hurricanes remain atop of the NJYHL Mite B division with an overall record of 9-0-1 with only 13 goals allowed in League action. Next up for the Hurricanes are two challenging League contests versus the Old Bridge Junior Knights and Flyers Youth Team. Go Hurricanes!

  • 12/10/2003 Thank you to Jeff for posting this information. - The Hollydell Hurricanes Mite B squad improved it's NJYHL-leading record to 8-0-1 with a hard-fought 3-2 victory over the Ice House Avalanche on 11/23. A equally challenging Flyers Youth club battled the Hurricanes to a 7-7 tie in last week's league action as the Hurricanes scored five times in the third period to end with the tie. The Hurricanes are 18-1-2 overall this season with contests this week against the Bethlehem Blast (DVHL)and the Vineland Patriots in a NJYHL game.

The Hurricanes lost 4-2 in the finals to a solid Bristol Blazers (DVHL) team. The Hurricanes went 3-1 in the Tournament and outscored the competition 20-7 overall.

  • 11/2/2003 Thank you to Jeff for posting this information. - The Hollydell Hurricanes Mite B Team improved their season record to 12-0-1, 3-0 in league play, after consecutive wins against the Aston Beast 10-4 and the Ramapo Saints 6-0. The Mite B's have outscored league opponents 25-1 this season.

The Mite B's placed second in the SilverSticks Finals at the Ice Works in Aston, PA, losing to the Long Island Royals 6-2.

  • 09/29/2003 Thank you to Tom for posting this information and congratulations Pee Wee B!!!! - Congratulations to the Pee Wee B team for winning the regional Silver Sticks Competition held at the Aston Ice Works Sept 26th-28th. The team will now go the annual A/E finals in Pelham, Ontario, Canada in January.

  • 08/12/2003 - Thanks to Karen for posting this information and congratulations Pee Wee A!!!! - The PeeWee A team won the Oaks Festival Tournament held Aug.8, 9, & 10. The team went 5-0 with a balanced scoring attack & stifling defense outscoring their opponents 42-4!
